News enthusiast, York College Alumni, daughter, sister, animal lover.
I am in love with news. It’s something that changes every day. My love and interest started when I was in middle school. Someone vandalized my church and a reporter interviewed me as we were cleaning up the damage. How thankful was I that someone cared beyond my small church community, enough to tell our story. Ever since then I wanted to do just that, tell people’s stories. I love constantly learning new things, meeting new people and seeing new places.
If I have free time…
I spend time with family, friends, and my cat Batman. I am fortunate to live in my hometown and get to see everyone pretty frequently. Batman is my little buddy. He is always waiting at the door when I get home and sure to cuddle on a bad day.
I love working out, eating out, and just being active — you name it — I am a social butterfly!
If I am away you’ll probably find me at the beach. Something about the sand, salty air, waves and endless junk food is therapeutic for me!
I’m known around the newsroom for…
I’m known as “Nardo”, or “Nerdo.” I have had this nickname for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I think people forget my first name!
Interesting Fact…
Beyond my degree in Communications, I have minors in Human services and Behavioral Science. I have always been interested in studying the human mind and behavior.
