Zach Glenwright

Hello! I’m Zach Glenwright — video editor, web author, multimedia / transcoding specialist, satellite / sky cam / live shot technician… AppleScript programmer when the opportunity arises and… any of 100 other things when needed. I’m part of the FOX43 Morning News team that edit video for the national stories during the 5-8am shows, and make sure that live local and national feeds are tuned in and ready to air. I’ve been working at FOX43 since early 2001, almost right out of high school from York Suburban, doing as much I could behind the camera — until becoming a dedicated media specialist 2 years later. In 2007, I made the decision to come to the morning crew, coming to work in the middle of the night to make mornings better (for those that like their stories with video!)

Outside of work, I am a technology and videography buff, *especially* when it comes to nature videography! I am a huge fan of wildlife, love raccoons, foxes, squirrels, crows, gulls and (a lot) more, and especially enjoy capturing the unique wild behaviors that they have. To gain insight into how animals approach a challenge, I create what are called “enrichment” projects – little specialized puzzles that give animals a unique feeding experience. My biggest enrichment project to date is the “Backyard Bag Feeder Project” – a feeder specifically designed… to be torn to shreds by the animals I record! It gives me insight into how they work at the challenge, and it gives them something to work with instead of just munching on food like they would at a normal feeder.

If you’re interested in checking out my wild animal enrichment projects, check out my YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/taburineagle – and if you’d like to see any of my multimedia specialist handiwork, check out FOX43 Morning News!
