A second person has died from injuries suffered in a car crash on Sunday in Dauphin County. State police say Molly K. Kever, 20, of Waynesboro, was driving south on I-81 in East Hanover Township during the early morning hours when she lost control of her vehicle.

The green 1996 Dodge Neon then slid off the road and slammed into a guardrail, according to state police reports

Kever was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say her passenger, Sara J. Ballard, 21, of Waynesboro was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center where she later died.


One person is dead and another is seriously injured after their vehicle went off the road and slammed into a guardrail in Dauphin County. The crash happened early Sunday morning in the southbound lanes of I-81 in East Hanover Township. State police say the driver of a green 1996 Dodge Neon was killed in the crash.

The passenger suffered serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle.

The names of the victim and passenger are being withheld, pending the notification of next of kin.
