PennDot issued a travel alert today for motorists heading towards Connecticut and Massachusetts. Those state’s issuing a travel ban due to hazardous driving conditions from the winter storm.
Only emergency personnel are allowed to travel on roadways until at least 6 p.m. on Saturday for Connecticut, said a PennDot spokesperson.
Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency will reevaluate the ban every two to four hours.
In some cases, the winter storm has left over 3-feet of snow on the highways.
