Harrisburg’s own LeSean “Shady” Mccoy, star running back of the Philadelphia Eagles will be hosting the 2nd annual “Turkey Giveaway” at “The Villa” Sneaker Store in Harrisburg at 333 market St. Harrisburg pa 17101 from 5pm-7pm. Four years since the beginning of the financial and economic crisis, hunger remains a concern for many families. Jobs are scarce, ages are low, and food insecurity is high. For the 2nd year in a row LeSean has teamed up with The Villa of harrisburg PA to help food preparation for this coming holiday a little easier by providing 250 free turkeys.

On November 20, 2012 at 5pm, 250 families will receive free frozen turkeys at the VIlla located on 333 Market st. harrisburg PA. Turkeys will be given away at a first come first serve basis. LeSean feels this effort is the least he can do for his community which has shown him love and support throughout his NFL career and may have difficulty putting dinner on the table.   LeSean Mccoy is no stranger for giving to his community for he holds his annual “Shady Day” Community day each year, which runs an average turn out of 5,000 plus people. In August  he equipped more than 1,500 children with backpacks filed with school supplies to help the school year get off to a great start. For more information on this event please visit
