Pair steals $170 in Quick Change Scam at Subway in Carlisle

CARLISLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY – Police are seeking tips on a quick-change con involving a man and woman who targeted a restaurant in Carlisle on Sunday. It happened around 4:35 p.m. at the Subway located along the 1900 block of Ritner Highway.

A man and woman went up to the cashier, purchased a sub and asked for change.

In an effort confuse the clerk the man began asking various questions and requested multiple money exchanges, police said.

It wasn’t until the pair left the store with a total of $170 dollars that the clerk figured out they’d been had.

The first suspect is described as a light skinned black male, wearing a dark English style hat, dark pea coat and dark pants. He had a thin build and was about 5’9″ in height.

The second suspect is described as a black female last seen wearing a white coat with fur around the hood, a scarf, blue jeans and brown boots.

Both left in a dark colored passenger car.
