A two vehicle crash involving a Jeep and a school bus in Cumberland County. It happened just after 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon on Gettysburg Road at 30th Street in Lower Allen Township. Police a West Shore School district bus was making a left turn from 30th Street onto eastbound Gettysburg Road when it was hit by a westbound Jeep. Three juveniles in the Jeep jumped out and ran north on 30th Street. But the three returned to the scene, after talking to a witness, prior to the arrival of police. All three were reportedly not wearing seatbelts and were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation.
There were no injuries among the 29 students on board the school bus from Lemoyne Middle School. Police continue their investigation. Speed may have been a factor. Anyone witnessing the crash is asked to contact Lower Allen Police at (717) 238-9676.
