York Stop the Violence Protest in Reaction to Recent Crimes

A small group gathered in York Saturday to protest a recent rash of shootings along Route 30.

A handful of people met outside the Staples on Loucks Road with signs urging people to stop the violence.

Two young men in their twenties were shot and killed in separate incidents within the last two weeks in the area.

“People are dying. People that I know are dying. And it’s sad. We’re just out here trying to get people’s support. There’s so much violence out there, so much violence out there,” said Alexis Rosher, a protester.

Police are still investigating both recent shootings. No arrests have been made in connection with either one.
