A Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony was held this afternoon at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

This Friday marks the 71st anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941.

The medical center holds this annual ceremony as a way to remember and honor those who lost their lives that day; more than 2,000 Americans were killed on that day and more than a thousand others were injured.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt said it was a day that would ‘live in infamy’ and it remains one of the worst attacks in U.S. history.
