Three Lebanon City teenagers face charges as adults in a weekend armed robbery. Police say it began at around 7 o’clock Saturday evening as a reported Theft in the area of 5th & Scull streets. After speaking to a 14-year-old male, it was determined that the incident was a robbery. The 14-year-old victim said the suspects were three other juvenile males. The three suspects had approached him and asked for a dollar.
The victim gave them a dollar. The suspects then directed the victim down an alley and demanded more money. When he didn’t immediately hand over the money, one of males lifted his shirt and displayed a handgun in his waistband. Another of the males displayed a knife. The victim gave them $10 and a cell phone.
Investigators eventually identified the three suspects as 15 yer old Jason Jenkins, 16-year-old Juvenal Robles and 16-year-old Jose Lebron, all from Lebanon City. All three were charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Simple Assault. All three were arraigned and being held on $10,000 bail.
Both weapons used in the robbery were recovered. The gun was a lookalike BB gun and the knife was a folding straight razor.
