Privatizing Lotto Sales

The state’s next Auditor General is worried about the Governor’s proposal to privatize the lottery.  Representative Eugene Depasquale wants to make sure all options are considered carefully.  This week Democratic lawmakers criticized the plan saying it involves too much secrecy which may divert money away from social service programs and corporations.  Governor Tom Corbett has said he’s looking into privatizing the lottery to see if more money could be made for elderly programs that have a growing demand.
