Good Samaritans be warned, scammers are trying to make off with money donated to the Salvation Army. A few weeks ago, several bells and Salvation Army aprons were stolen from the Harrisburg location.

Since then, there have been reports of people collecting donations that are not a part of the organization. The Salvation Army would like to warn people of this scam and stress that unless they have the six foot tall red bucket with them, they are not a part of the organization.

Anyone with information on this is asked to contact the police or the Salvation Army.
