A lot of people rode Amtrak over the Thanksgiving holiday.  In fact, ridership and ticket revenue both set records.  Amtrak carried a record 737,537 people over Thanksgiving, up 1.9% from the previous year.

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving was the single busiest day in the history of Amtrak with 140,691 folks traveling.  Ticket revenues amounted to $56.1 million which is 8.4% higher than last year.

This year Amtrak launched new services like eTicketing which allows passengers to print their own boarding documents or using their smartphones to scan their tickets.
