A woman is arrested in Carlisle after stabbing a 62-year-old man twice in the neck early Tuesday morning, police said. Officers were dispatched around 3:56 a.m. to 343 North College Street for a reported stabbing.

The victim was located on the couch of a first floor apartment with a bloody rag over his neck, investigators said.

He told police that he had been stabbed by a woman who was staying with him. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Justine N. Adams, 25, of Carlisle, was still in the apartment and when officers questioned her she threw a large kitchen knife on the bed and admitted she did it. Adams was taken to the Cumberland County Booking Center and is awaiting arraignment.

She will be charged with Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault.
