A traffic stop last Friday in Lancaster City yields a drug arrest and seizure of 833 small packets of heroin commonly referred to as “sticks” or “ice cream sandwiches”.  Members of the Lancaster County Drug Task Force stopped a dark blue 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer in the first block of West Orange street.  28-year-old Jose Perez-Velasquez was the driver.  Inside the SUV detectives found three packages wrapped in magazine print, which is common packaging for the smaller packets.  The street value of the heroin is approximately $8,000.
