Two juveniles face charges as adults in a Lancaster City armed robbery.  Police responded to call at around 12:30 Tuesday for a report of armed robbery at Luciano’s Store in the 200 block of West King Street.  A suspected armed with a knife entered the store, threatened the owner, but ran away without any loot.  Police quickly learned that the suspect had run into the Umbrella Works Apartment building right across the street from the store. The building was quickly surrounded.

Eventually Police zeroed in on a second floor apartment.  Inside they found two males and a female who were taken to police headquarters for questioning. Investigators determine the suspect who had the knife was 15-year-old Andrew Ortiz, who lived in the apartment. It was also determined that 17-year-old Karylaine Rodriguez-Echevaria had helped Ortiz to get into the Umbrella Works building after the robbery.  Ortiz and Rodriguez-Echevaria were both charged with Criminal Conspiracy to commit Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.  The third suspect was released without charge.  Police say their investigation is continuing.
