Clouds are already on the increase and will continue to thicken throughout the day as our next system get closer. Rain and showers will develop late this afternoon and will continue through the overnight. The cold front will pass through the region late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Winds will increase in the wake of the front and will become blustery out of the northeast. This strong northwesterly flow will aid in producing lake effect snow showers and flurries Friday afternoon and into Saturday. The winds will finally ease off by Sunday as high pressure moves back into place.
The next system is still forecast to impact the region either Christmas Day or Wednesday.
