Rally Against Privatizing Lottery Sales At State Capitol

Giant lottery tickets filled the State Capitol today but money isn’t being given away.  In fact it’s in protest of changes that could soon come to the lottery system.  Activists and seniors gathering in Harrisburg to protest a new plan being considered by Governor Tom Corbett and others that would privatize state lottery sales.  Organizers say they want to make sure all options are considered carefully.
“He’s going to be taking away from seniors.  We have to have hearings on this. The deadline for the signing of this document has to be delayed. We have to have total transparency and hearings across the state on this,” says Activist Gene Stilp.  “I can’t go into detail on this because it is being reviewed it’s a bid, it is being reviewed, I’m in the process of taking a look at it, no decisions have been made at this point,” says Governor Tom Corbett.
