A suspect in a 17-year-old Franklin County murder case is captured in Georgia.  Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested 39-year-old Tonya “Snowy” Dice Friday morning in Dalton, Georgia.  Dice was wanted in the 1995 murder olf Freddie Brumfield in Greene Township, Franklin County.

Brumfield’s body was found on January 13, 1995 along Funk Road. He had been killed with a single gunshot.  In June 1995, Dice was interviewed by Pennsylvania State Police about the murder and admitted to witnessing the shooting and cleaning up the blood afterward.  On July 5, 1995, Dice failed to appear for arraignment in Franklin County Court on an unrelated drug case. A bench warrant was issued, charging her with failure to appear.

On July 14, 1999, based upon findings by the State Police investigation into Brumfield’s murder, an arrest warrant for Criminal Homicide and Hindering Apprehension and Prosecution was issued for Dice. She remained a fugitive until today.

She is being held without bail pending her extradition to Pennsylvania.
