Well the first day of Winter is feeling like it.  Winds will be brisk tonight and tomorrow.  Wind gusts are possible in the 40 to 45 mph range.  A Wind Advisory is in effect tonight until 7pm tomorrow.

With the brisk winds, wind chills will be running in the teens and 20s overnight.  Tomorrow, clouds mixing with some sun,  will keep highs in the upper 30s but it will feel much colder. Can’t rule out a passing flurry or light snow shower.  The strongest wind gusts will be from mid-morning through the afternoon.

High pressure builds in, skies will clear out some Saturday night allowing for much more sunshine and lighter winds for the second half of the weekend.  The upper level pattern flattens a bit which will allow a quick moving system to maybe skirt the area with the light snow showers Christmas Eve into Christmas morning.  By the afternoon, skies may actually clear a bit and temperatures should get to near 40 degrees.

The next significant system looks to arrive on Wednesday.  Models are differing on the exact track which will play a key role in what kind and how much precip we will get.  We will certainly keep you posted.  An upper level trof digs in by the end of the week, bringing in much colder air with highs only in the low to mid 30s.

Enjoy your weekend!
