A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Friday until 7 p.m. on Saturday. Between 3 and 5 inches of snow is expected across the area.

Snow will spread across the region from the southwest on Saturday, starting just after midnight. It will be short lived and will taper off after 6 to 8 hours.  Temperatures will be in the mid 20’s and visibility could drop to a quarter of a mile at a time. Winds will be 5 to 10 MPH.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibility. Use caution while driving, especially while traveling on bridges and overpasses where slippery spots develop first.
