A burglar was caught in the act yesterday on the 1100 block of West King Street. Police say Elizjah Moon Shue, 18, no fixed address, knew the resident of the house was away. What Shue did not know was that the victim had a house-sitter watching the home. The house-sitter heard a noise in the basement and saw someone had turned on a light. The house-sitter went down the basement steps and ran into Shue, who then ran up the steps and out the back door.

Police say Shue was  arrested for burglarizing the same residence on September 14, 2012 and was committed to York County Prison on $5,000 monetary bail. On December 12, 2012, his bail was reduced for unspecified reasons to $5,000 unsecure by District Magistrate Groom, which means he did not have to pay any money to be released, Shue was then released from Prison on December 13th.

Shue is described as a white male, 5’11”, 200 lb, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on Shue’s whereabouts is asked to call the West York Police at 717-854-1975 or York County 911.
