Report: O’Brien Interviews with Browns and Eagles, will stay at Penn State

Penn State Head Football Coach Bill O’Brien has interviewed with the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles but will stay with the Nittany Lions according to a report from Adam Caplan of    Information surfaced on Thursday Night that O’Brien talked with the Browns about their head coaching job.    The Eagles apparently talked with him as well and afterwards, Caplan says O’Brien made it clear he will stay at Penn State.

Another report from indicated that Penn State made a big push to keep O’Brien in Happy Valley.   The big mystery around O’Brien seems to be a potentially expensive buyout of his current contract with Penn State.   Some reports indicate it could be somewhere between 9 and 18 million dollars.

In his only season with Penn State, O’Brien guided the Lions to an 8-4 record and won the Big Ten Coach of the Year Award along with several national Coach of the Year honors.
