The Red Lion VFW and the Ladies’ Auxiliary picthed in to give back to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The groups started the project right after the disaster happened on the coast.

Local residents have donated clothes, toys and even household items like televisions to the relief fund. The truck will leave Friday night to deliver the items to the Trenton Rescue Mission in New Jersey.

Organizers say they are just doing their part to help the cause.  CERA Logistics donated the truck and driver to make this weekend’s delivery.
