QUICK SHOT:  We’ve hit hump day!  A quick wave will pass over us from the Great Lakes region today.  This doesn’t look to have a lot of oomph to it, so we don’t expect much out of it other than clouds.

So as you walk out the door today, clear skies from overnight have allowed temps to fall into the low 20s.  Calm winds set up some frost and even a bit of fog this morning.  Give yourself a bit of extra time this morning to warm up and navigate.

By afternoon, clouds will thicken a bit.  Winds will be breezy out of the southwest from 5-12mph.  Models have hinted at a sprinkle or two developing this afternoon.  There’s a small chance for that, but dry weather should be the rule of the day.  Highs will top out in the upper 40s!

Overnight, clouds break a bit and lows will only drop to the low 30s thanks to a westerly breeze at 5-10mph.

CHANGES:  We’re sunny Thursday but a pocket of slightly colder air comes in behind this little wave today.  This will hold temps into the middle 40s for highs despite the sunshine.

Change continues into Friday.  A quick moving wave of energy will shoot northeastward toward the commonwealth on Friday.  This brings clouds by morning and showers by midday and afternoon.  Rain will be scattered and showery in nature.  Highs will hit the mid 40s.

WEEKEND WARMTH (AND RAIN):  The warm bubble nudges farther north this weekend!  We’ll easily hit the mid to upper 50s Saturday and Sunday.  The southern jet stream will aim southwest to northeast over the weekend.  This setup will allow several impulses to slingshot toward us beginning Sunday.

So, Saturday we begin by clouding things up around here.  Sunday through Tuesday, several waves bring us shots at rain each and every day.  We’re well to the west of the flow so we stay on the warm side of things, with highs continuing to stay in the 50s through mid-week

Hoping for a wonderful Wednesday!  Halfway to the weekend!
