The Hempfield School District is working with parents and the community to make its schools safer.

A round table discussion in Landisville on Thursday night was to get ideas from parents about what would make them feel more comfortable when they send their kids to school.

This is in part of the recent shootings at the Sandy Hook elementary school.

The objective was to let everyone be heard on what can be done to make schools safer.
