FOGGY FORECAST:  We all had a foggy start to the day, but depending on where you live the day may have finished much differently.  Some kept the mist, fog, and cool air while others got some sun and warmed into the 50s!

We’re all foggy again tonight.  Plenty of low level moisture, coupled with calm winds and partial clearing spells out more fog for tonight.  A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for our entire area through Sunday morning, which means visibilities will be reduced below a quarter mile for several hours.  Take extra time if you’ll be driving tonight!  Lows will hold steady near 40°.  A sprinkle and some drizzle are in the forecast too.

TRICKY SUNDAY:  While our atmosphere will be warming on most levels tomorrow, fog and clouds may hamper our run for 60°.  As a matter of fact, it looks right now that temps will be held in the mid 50s for highs across the region.  If the clouds break in spots as they did today, temps near 60° are not out of the question.   But if fog stays around all day, we’ll struggle to hit the low 50s.  So, we’re officially calling for a high of 54, but realize this may vary drastically with location.  Any real shot at rain looks to hold off until later in the evening and overnight hours.  Rain tapers early on Monday.

COLD AIR ENROUTE:  This mild weather can’t last for long in Pennsylvania, and it certainly won’t.  The dip in the jet stream over the Rockies and Mid-West will shift eastbound.  This dip holds a pocket of colder air and that pocket will shrink as it moves east.  We’ll still cool down to the upper 40s on Monday with temps holding in the upper 30s to near 40° through mid-week.  By next weekend, we’re watching some disagreement in the models, but it looks as if much colder air can slide in by Saturday.

As far as any precip, the majority of the models keep most of the rain and snow to our south; however, a few models clip southern PA with a chance for a few snow showers early Tuesday and early Wednesday.  The chances are very small, but they’re worth a mention.  We’ll continue to update the forecast in the days ahead.

Enjoy your Sunday!
