Police have arrested three teenage suspects for the armed robbery of two teens outside of a Dauphin County high school on Thursday night. Investigators say 18-year-old Eriq Cooper-Smith, 15-year-old Ean Shamar Cooper-Smith, and a 14-year-old juvenile male have been arrested in connection with the Jan. 10 robbery in front of Steelton Highspire High School.
The victims, ages 15 and 14, ran to a nearby residence for help after being robbed at gunpoint. The boys told police that the suspects pulled out a rifle and demanded they empty their pockets. During the robbery one of the victims was hit in the face with a gun and sustained minor injuries.
The suspects got away with the victim’s cell phones.
Officers were able to locate two of the suspects, Ean Shamar Cooper-Smith and the 14-year-old juvenile, inside a home along Chambers Hill Road.
The 14-year-old was turned over to Dauphin County Juvenile Probation. Ean Shamar Cooper-Smith was arraigned and later released to the custody of his mother on $10,000 bail.
A short time later officers arrested a third suspect, Eriq Cooper-Smith. He was taken to Dauphin County Prison.
Police recovered five guns and $10,000 worth of jewelry during the investigation stemming from an earlier residential burglary.
All three of the suspects are facing Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy charges.
