Clouds will remain stubborn tonight. With moisture still in the air and temperatures falling, it is possible to see some patchy fog. There will be a system developing and passing to our south tomorrow. It looks to keep the clouds in place, especially in the south and may produce some light flurries or light snow showers in the afternoon right along the border. A northern change in the track of the low, will lift the snow chances into the southern counties. The Fox43 Weather Team will keep an eye on things. We could see some sunshine mixing in and out of the clouds but very little. Highs will remain on the chilly side in the 30s. Frontal system also approaches from the northwest and helps to bring in drier but colder air to end the week.
More sunshine for Friday but noticeably colder temperatures with morning lows starting the low to mid 20s and the afternoon expected to only warm into the low 30s.
Over the weekend, we see the winds shift Saturday as high pressure slides to the east. This will allow milder air to move in boosting our temperatures back into the 40s but it will be brief. A series of clipper systems will cross the area, the first Sunday, which will drop our temperatures back into the 30s for the second half of the weekend. Right now it appears we see mainly some clouds out of the system but the next front looks more potent and may produce some light flurries or light snow showers. Certainly we could see Lake Effect Snow in parts of the area for Monday. What we will definitely notice, the cold arctic chill that will settle across the area for a couple of days. Lows will drop into the teens and highs will struggle through the 20s for a couple of days.
A reminder, areas that received accumulating snow and ice, you may experience some slick conditions overnight into tomorrow morning as the road surfaces, bridges and overpasses refreeze.
