In New York, Police are coming up with a creative way to crack down on people stealing drugs from pharmacies.  They’re putting GPS tracking units in dummy bottles of oxycontin and placing them in pharmacies around the city.  If a burglar breaks in and steals the bottles, police will then be able to track the thief.  Police hope that tracking down just one bottle this way could lead to a larger stash of stolen drugs.  Every one of the 1800 pharmacies in New York City will have the GPS rigged bottles.   The pharmacists will be aware of which ones are the decoys so they don’t hand them out accidentally.
