A U.S. computer programmer is making headlines for outsourcing his own job to China — so that he could fool around while on the job.

The consulting company where the man worked discovered that his computer system was being accessed from China. Company officials originally thought hackers were responsible, but an investigation later revealed otherwise.

The programmer had hired a firm in Shenyang to do his work — during his schedule. He paid the Chinese programmers roughly 20% of his six-figure salary to handle programming while he surfed the internet all day.

That worker was later caught and eventually fired.
