Charges have been filed against a former chemistry teacher at Bermudian Springs High School for soliciting sex from a female student in 2011.  Robert C. Bonner, 39, of Dillsburg, has been charged  with endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.

The incident occurred during finals week in 2011 at the high school. Bonner pulled the victim out of a psychology final and handed her a note asking if she wanted to have a threesome with his wife, according to charging documents.

The victim told troopers about the incident in late August of 2012. After learning of the incident, Bermudian Springs Superintendent Shane Hotchkiss confronted Bonner about it and he confessed, court documents stated.

The victim told investigators this was the second time Bonner propositioned her, according to the affidavit.

Bonner was arraigned on $10,000 unsecured bail.

School administrators accepted Bonner’s resignation at a Sept. 11 school board meeting.

Besides the teacher Is an idiot. You do not go ther with students! What the hell is wrong with adults? And he has a daughter how would he like it? I hope he is ashamed of himself cause he alleyways thought he was better than everyone else!

Not sure why so much suprise. There were many comments from the high school girls that Bonner made frequent inappropriate comments towards female students openly in class. In addition, it is a district where administrators and teaching staff have openly engaged in affairs ie assistent principals with teachers, teachers with parents etc and everybody (including students) know about it, nothing is ever done and seemingly condoned by the community, why would this suprise anyone?

What I find most fascinating is the utter silence by Bermudian folks as this has become public. Once again, they are closing ranks whenever the public is made to see what is going on in this crazy little community.
