Items needed include blankets and jackets, clothing of all types (preferably warmer clothes) for all ages, new socks and underwear; shoes, sneakers and boots, small overnight bags, pillows, and sleeping bags; baby food, formula, diapers and wipes; bottled water (sealed containers only); non perishable food items; candy; toiletries, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine products, etc. (sealed containers only); plastic utensils, styrofoam and paper cups, bowls and plates; mechanical can openers; paper towels, napkins, toilet paper; coloring books, crayons, pens, paper and backpacks; and monetary donations.

The group will be collecting Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the fire station at 3013 East Market Street in York.

The items collected will be delivered to the Willing Hearts Community Care Center in Newark, New Jersey.
