Police searching for man who stole purse from car

Police are searching for a man who they say broke into a parked car Lower Paxton Township and stole a woman’s purse. It happened during the overnight hours on January 5th along Catherine Street.

The man seen in the surveillance photo then used the victim’s debit card at Walmart in Carlisle around 4 a.m. on January 6th.  The suspect was a passenger in a two-tone silver or gray Subaru Forester or similar small SUV, police said.

Police believe the suspect broke into other vehicles parked in the area of Cathrine Street on the same night.
