Fatal Crash in Lebanon County Saturday evening

Pennsylvania State Police in Jonestown are investigating a fatal crash that happened at 10:50 p.m. Saturday evening. The driver, 51-year old Jose Ramon Marrero, Sr. from Ephrata, lost control of his car while navigating a turn on State Route 501 just South of Spring Haven Road.

The car began to spin out and slammed into a guardrail, causing the car to flip over. Marrero was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lebanon County Deputy Coroner. A 16-year old passenger in the car sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Lancaster General Hospital.
