Its tradition during Super Bowl week to pose with the Lombardi Trophy, but not he Ravens.  Ray Lewis says, the championship trophy is off-limits.

Ray Lewis, Ravens Linebacker

“You know, everybody wants you to take pictures with it.  I told the team, don’t take pictures with anything that is not yours, nothing that you haven’t earned.”

Ray Rice, Ravens Running Back

“I think its great.  I’m not superstitious or anything but I don’t want to see something that is not rightfully ours yet.  We have to work to get it and that’s why we are going down to New Orleans.  We got the Lamar Hunt, we seen that, that was in our locker room.  I don’t want to see the Super Bowl trophy until its rightfully ours”

Ed Reed, Ravens Safety

“This is the ultimate for your team.  This is what you always wanted, this is why you prepare in the off season, this is why you play the games, to get to the dance, the ultimate dance and this is it.”

Ray Lewis

“When we hold that Lombardi, whoever holds that Lombardi next Sunday, you have earned it.”

One interesting note about this match-up, Ray Lewis got his 1st sack all the way back in 1996.  The man he took down, Jim Harbaugh, when he was a quarterback with the Indianapolis Colts.
