Two Men Charged in Mechanicsburg Home Invasion/Robbery

Acting on a tip, Police, in Cumberland County, charge two suspects, 19-year-old Colin Wilson, of Carlisle, and 21-year-old Daniel Jumbelick, no known address,  in a November 19, 2012, home invasion and robbery.  It happened at around 7:30 p.m on November 19, 2012 at a home in the 1200 block of East Lisburn Road, Mechanicsburg.

Police say the victims, an 75-year-old woman and her 84-year-old male relative,  answered a knock on the door from a man, identified as Wilson, and an unidentified female juvenile, who asked to borrow tools to fix a flat tire.  Wilson, joined by Jumbelick returned later with the tools to the house. They asked to used the bathroom, but once inside demanded money from the elderly couple.  Wilson, armed with a knife got into a struggle with the woman after he had ripped the telephone from the wall. Jumbelick grabbed the woman’s purse and the two men fled in a red or maroon four door sedan.

Thursday morning, Upper Allen Township Police served arrest warrants on Wilson and Jumbelick at Cumberland County Prison where they are being held on other similar crimes.  Both men were arraigned and bail was set at $50,000 each.  They face a preliminary hearing next month.
