A Lancaster City man is facing charges after he assaulted his 4-year-old son and girlfriend on Valentines Day. Police were dispatched to the 500 block of North Franklin Street on Thursday morning  for a report of a domestic dispute.  Messiah Burrell, 24, allegedly picked up his 4-year old son by the head and neck and threw him onto sidewalk. The boy suffered facial injuries after his head hit the concrete. Burrell is also accused of choking the child’s mother and breaking her nose after punching her in the face.

Both the child and the 22-year-old female victim were treated at a local hospital.

Burrell is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Simple Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Reckless Endangerment.

He was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000.
