PRESIDENTS DAY:  A blustery weekend closes out and gives way to a sun filled and less cold holiday today.  For those of you lucky enough to have the extra day off, the weather looks wonderful.  Mainly sunny skies prevail as highs climb into the upper 30s.  We’re cold this evening and overnight we eventually see the clouds filter in toward daybreak.  Lows dip into the upper 20s.

TUESDAY PRECIP:  Cold air will be in place as the precipitation begins to fall just before daybreak.  Right now, it looks as if it will fall as snow or some freezing rain to get things started.  Quickly, the ground temps will warm through morning, turning the snow to rain.  Rain will continue through the day before tapering by late afternoon and early evening.  Highs will hit the mid 40s on Tuesday.

REST OF THE WEEK/WEEKEND:  High pressure ridges in from the north to begin some clearing Wednesday.  We’re cold and breezy with highs back in the middle 30s.  Thursday, the sun comes out for the day.  We’re in the upper 30s.  By Friday a weak system scoots to our south.  We’ll see another close call on the precip type.  Looks like more of a mix of rain with some snow for now with temps near 40°.  Models hang onto precip as the system deepens over the Atlantic Saturday, so we keep rain/snow mix in for part of Saturday with highs again in the low 40s.  By Sunday, we get some sunshine back with highs near 40°.  The Friday/Saturday forecast will be worth watching for changes, so check back!

Enjoy your holiday today!
