After a frigid start this morning, a cold afternoon is expected across Central Pennsylvania in the wake of a storm system that brought messy, wild weather to the area on Tuesday. Temperatures will gradually inch upward, struggling to reach even 30 degrees in many spots. Normally colder locations, including higher elevation areas, remain stuck in the middle to upper 20s during the afternoon!
What’s really going to help add to the chill is the winds. Expect strong, brutally cold northwest winds, sustained at 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts reaching as high as 30 to 35 miles per hour. This will make wind chills feel like the teens, making these readings what you actually need to dress for throughout the afternoon. Some sunshine peeks out at times throughout the day, but it will certainly be no match for the strong winds and cold temperatures, doing very little to help warm in Central Pennsylvania over the next several hours
