Neighborhood residents, recreation center and school representatives, and a selection committee helped to guide the artist and artwork selection process.
The sculptural installation was made possible by a grant from the 2011 Sprite Spark Parks Project and also funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the City of Lancaster.
A dedication ceremony for the Brandon Park Renovations will take place in the spring.
