York City Police responded to the 400 block of West Princess Street just before 7:45 a.m. Thursday for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the shooter, 47-year old Jose Serrano-Fernadini, and took him into custody.

Serrano-Fernadini was involved in an altercation with a juvenile from the second floor apartment. He believed the juvenile had slashed the tires on his car on Wednesday evening. During the fight, Serrano-Fernadini pulled out a pistol and shot at the juvenile.

The shot missed and no one inside the apartment was hurt. Serrano-Fernadini was taken into custody and has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

OK, where the heck is the weapons charge? Discharge of a weapon on a city street. Carrying without a license. Get on it, gun control freaks. Before you get on our case, enforce existing law.

Doesn't matter. You don't shoot at someone slashing tires. Deadly force meets deadly force. Not the case here. City street. Got it? No fire on a city street.

Well "LTC(Ret)", the shooter probably was protecting himself in the fight he started.

Someone slashes his tires on Wed night. The shooter approaches the suspected slasher and a fight breaks out. Guess calling police instead of assuming it was the neighbor was not a better option because him and his gun are going to take care or the problem.
