Sunshine makes a brief comeback for the afternoon

Clouds stuck in place over Central Pennsylvania due to a persistent northwesterly flow will gradually break apart during the afternoon hours as an upper level area of low pressure continues to slowly exit the region.  Sunshine is already breaking out along the Mason-Dixon Line, and more places will soon follow.  Clouds won’t completely clear out of the area, especially to the northwest, leaving low level puffy clouds with us the rest of the day.

Sunshine makes a brief comeback for the afternoon

The northwesterly flow is also expected to keep temperatures on the cold side this afternoon.  The still breezy winds contain highs into the upper 20s and lower 30s.  Though still breezy, winds are not expected to be as strong as yesterday.  Sustained winds at 10 to 20 miles per hour will provide gusts up to 25, even 30 miles per hour at times.  This means wind chill is still a factor, with readings in the teens and even single digits at times.
