The state Judicial Conduct Board filed formal charges on Friday against  Lancaster City Magisterial District Judge Kelly S. Ballentine. Ballentine is accused of using a work computer to dismiss three traffic citations issued to her in Nov. 2010 by city police.

Court documents show Ballentine  has been suspended with pay.

She is charged with three counts of conflict of interest, six counts of tampering with public records or information and three counts of obstruction administration of law or governmental function.

On Feb. 13 the state Attorney General’s office filed a complaint–accusing  Ballentine of failing to pay fines and costs owed on the traffic citations.

Ballentine faces possible sanctions including reprimand, suspension and removal from office.
