They’re playing volleyball for a special reason Saturday at Millersville University in Lancaster County.
Dozens of players are part of Schreiber Pediatric’s 31st Annual Volleyball Bash Benefit.
The fun kicked off 9 a.m. and lasts 12 hours, with non-stop entertainment. It benefits the thousands of children that visit the county’s rehab center each year.
“Some of our ambassadors come throughout the day to meet the players and let them know what it really means to them that these people come out and support the center. Having them have that one on one to meet a child who has been receiving services for a really long time, and that really makes a lasting impression,” says Barbara Kavanaugh, with Schreiber Pediatric.
Schreiber Pediatric Center is a non-profit that helps youngsters with physical and developmental delays.
