A man who was wanted on attempted murder charges in York City was arrested by federal agents in New York on Monday. Thomas Washington IV, 34, is accused of firing a gun multiple times into a parked vehicle at  the Sunoco A-Plus along the 200 block of  North Sherman Street on Feb. 1

Tamika Goodwin was sitting in the driver’s seat of her car and was shot in the arm, police said.

Washington is charged with attempted criminal homicide, carrying firearms without a license, reckless endangerment, and  aggravated assault.

Early Monday, U.S. Marshals Service personnel arrested Washington without incident in the 800 block of Faile Ave in Bronx, New York.

Washington was turned over to the New York City Police Department for processing.  He is awaiting extradition to York County.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force’s top priority is to arrest violent offenders, especially those who use guns against our citizens.  This arrest takes an attempted murder suspect off the street, and provides the two victims with some measure of justice.”
