Increased Presence at Area Schools in Response to Online Threat

West Manheim Township Police Department wants parents to know that while there was a threat made online against an elementary school in Pennsylvania, it was a vague and non-specific threat, and there was no indication anything would occur locally. Even so, officers will be present at several local schools today. Officers will present at West Manheim Elementary School Friday as a precaution.

Littlestown Area School District in Adams County issued a statement to parents informing them that there will be a police presence in that district today, although  “there is no credible evidence to substantiate the information” in the threat.”
