CALMER CONDITIONS TAKE OVER

A calm weather period settles in

In the wake of our Wednesday’s storm system, conditions across the  Central PA stay calm, with warming temperatures.  A little bit of morning sunshine is expected for some locations, but clouds thicken once more ahead of a weak disturbance located along the Great Lakes.  This brings a tiny bump in the road for the calm conditions, but goes unnoticed for most.  Only a few snow showers are possible tonight as it passes through.  A few snow showers could linger into the early morning hours Friday as this disturbance scoots east, but after that, a little sunshine works in during the afternoon.  Highs reach the middle 40s both days.

A WELCOME WEEKEND WARMUP

Sunshine and mild temperatures define the weekend, with a ridge of high pressure building into the area.  Temperatures rise to 50 degrees Saturday under plenty of sunshine.  Sunday is even warmer with highs in the middle 50s!  We stay mainly dry through most of Monday, when our next storm system approaches.  This will increase the clouds, and bring the chance for a late day shower.  Temperatures stay mild.

A RETURN TO SEASONABLE CONDITIONS

Our next system moves through the area Monday night into Tuesday morning, bringing rainfall across the region.  Once the system passes through, some sunshine will likely poke out Tuesday afternoon.  Highs are near 50 degrees.  Wednesday, cooler air moves in, returning temperatures back into the 40s.

Have a great day!
