Harrisburg Police are currently investigating the robbery of the Fulton Bank on North 3rd Street in the city. Just before 10:30 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred.

A masked man entered the bank, approached the tellers and demanded cash be placed in a white plastic bag. He did show a knife to the tellers during the robbery. A small amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled the bank heading north on North 3rd Street. No one in the bank was harmed.

The suspect is described as about a 5’5″ male, thin build, wearing a black mask, gloves, black hooded jacket and black pants. This description matches that of the suspect from the Metro Bank robbery on February 24th. That time, no weapon was displayed but the stolen money was placed in a white plastic bag.

Harrisburg Police do believe these two robberies are connected. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ferrari at 717-255-3025 or Lieutenant Fegan at 717-255-3114.
