FRIGID FOR A DAY:  Winter is slowly losing its grip on the region, but today is a day that reminds us spring is officially still about a week away.  Strong northwesterly winds will usher in cold air through the day today.  Despite the return of sunshine, we’ll only manage to reach about 40° today.  Winds out of the northwest will be sustained from 15-25mph, with gusts around 30mph.  It’ll feel like we’re in the low 30s all day.  We relax the winds this evening with temps falling into the low 30s.  Overnight, we’re clear, quiet and calm as temps fall to the middle and low 20s.

PARADE OF STORMS:  Friday, we begin to warm up and cloud up as the jet stream levels out from west to east.  We’ll remain dry for the day with temps into the upper 40s.  By late evening and overnight, a wave slides in from the north.  This will bring the chance for a few rain/snow showers overnight.  Saturday too looks to be a bit wet with some snow/rain turning to rain in the morning hours.  Much of the rain looks to taper through the afternoon, but some showers are possible for the parades on Saturday.  Highs will be held in the middle 40s, so jackets and umbrellas will be a good idea.

We dry Saturday night into Sunday with highs in the mid 40s.  Sunday night into Monday, we’ll see another wave bringing the chance for rain and a bit of snow mixing.  Monday looks generally rainy as well.   Then a more potent system will push through Monday night into Tuesday.  This looks to be mainly rain, ending as a few snow showers early on Tuesday.  Colder weather is in place for midweek with highs into the low 40s.  We‘ll need to watch the timing of these systems as they move through to make some tweaks.

Enjoy your Thursday chill!
